WHAT WOULD MAKE US A GOOD MATCH?
I like to keep your family mems as true to life as possible, no awkward posing, just the true to life adventures, chaos and all… I give lots of direction, but I have a very play-based approach and families to the most out of their sessions with me when they are open to truly leaning into the fun of it.
If you feel that a formal posed session with everyone looking at the camera is going to best represent your family best for your session, I'm probably not the right photographer for you.


HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
Fill in the enquiry form below to request a booking. You will receive a quote with session availability. There is a non-refundable retainer fee to secure your date and time. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your session. Your session is not locked in until the retainer is paid and contract signed.


HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Full Sessions are generally 60-90 minutes. Mini sessions are 20 minutes. Mini sessions are booked back-to-back, so please arrive on time to make the most of your session.


ARE UNDERWATER PHOTOS INCLUDED IN OUR SESSION IF WE GO TO THE BEACH?
No, I don't guarantee underwater images to any clients as I (unfortunately) have no control of the water clarity. We can absolutely capture memories above the waters surface if you're wanting to get in the water and if it is safe to do so, but anything underwater is not guaranteed.


THE SESSION TIMES ARE CLOSE TO BEDTIME, WHAT HAPPENS IF MY KIDS ARE TOO TIRED?
Keeping your kids busy is what I do best! We work together to ensure we include activities that your kids will LOVE, having fun is what it's all about and it's what keeps them engaged. Often little ones get tired just shy of an hour, but we embrace this, this is when we get all the exhausted, sleepy, cuddly shots and they’re often mama's favourites!


DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?
For quality guarantee I highly recommend ordering prints through my online print store, but it isn't required. You will receive high resolution files to the images included in your package and can print them yourself, however there is huge difference when printing through a professional lab and I recommend you alway find a professional lab to preserve your images.


WILL OUR PHOTOS BE POSTED ONLINE?
I'll never post anything without asking first. Your privacy is always respected and if you would prefer to keep all/some of your images private I will respect that


DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF PREFERRED LOCATIONS TO USE?
Weather conditions can significantly affect any outdoor location and if your session is outdoors I will always recommend going where it’s most protected from the elements. This means that we will often make the call on which location we will use the day before / morning of session. This is to protect clients from weather conditions.


WHAT IF SOMEONE IS SICK OR THE WEATHER IS BAD?
THIS IS US
f someone falls sick your "THIS IS US" retainer fee is transferable to a later date. A little rain or a cloudy day produces beautiful light and is not something to worry about, however if I consider the weather too difficult or dangerous to shoot in, we will carry out the session at your chosen indoor location or postpone to another mutually agreed date.

SUMMER MINI SESSIONS
Summer Mini sessions always have the following day pencilled in as the backup date.
If the weather is unsafe (heavy rain, storms, dangerous surf, flooding), sessions will automatically move to the next day.
If you can’t make the backup date, your session fee will be refunded (minus the non-refundable retainer).
If conditions are safe but not perfect (cloudy skies, wind, tides), the session will still go ahead — these often make for the most beautiful and natural photos.


DO YOU TRAVEL FOR SESSIONS?
Yes! Absolutely, I love travel and will often make a trip our of it with my own family.
There are NO TRAVEL FEES within 50km of Anna Bay, NSW.
All other areas incur travel fees, unless otherwise advertised. 


WHO CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE SESSION?
Sessions are strictly for immediate family only (parents/caregivers + kids). Please reach out directly for extended family sessions. 


WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP IMAGES TO HIDE SPOTS, WRINKLES, ETC.?
I keep edits true to life because imperfections make us unique.
✔ I’ll remove things that aren’t normally there (like pimples, grazes, or sores).
✘ I won’t erase smile lines, freckles, or birthmarks — those are too beautiful to hide!
Special retouching can be requested at an additional cost.


WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
Your edited gallery will be ready within 14 days from your session. You’ll receive a private online gallery that stays live for 2 weeks.


WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO OUR IMAGES?
All images remain the copyright of Alex Warden.
You’ll get a personal print release for your purchased images — so you can print and share with family. Images can’t be used commercially, altered, or screenshotted from proofs.


WHAT IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO OUR SESSION?
If I’m unable to attend due to illness, injury, or unforeseen circumstances, I’ll refund all fees paid (minus services already delivered).


HOW SAFE ARE THE OUTDOOR LOCATIONS OF SESSIONS?
I always scout and choose the safest locations possible for families. That said, mini sessions take place around beaches, rocks, water, and natural areas, which can involve some risks such as:
- Slips, trips, or falls
- Waves, currents, and tides
- Wildlife or insects
By booking, you acknowledge responsibility for your own safety and your children’s safety, but please know I’ll always do my best to select spots that feel fun, beautiful and safe.
