WHAT WOULD MAKE US A GOOD MATCH?
I like to keep your memories as true to life as possible — no awkward posing, just the real adventures, chaos and all. Wear your swimmers, bring your towel, let your toddler eat handfuls of sand if he wants. Whatever represents you best, we roll with that. If this feels like your vibe, we’ll be a great match!

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
A $300 non-refundable retainer secures your date and time. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your session. Your session is not locked in until the retainer is paid.

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Sessions run for 20 minutes and are booked back-to-back, so please arrive on time to make the most of your session.

ARE UNDERWATER PHOTOS INCLUDED IN MINI SESSION?
No — I don't capture underwater during mini sessions. But if you’re up for a splash, I’ll be right there in the water with you, capturing the magic from above the surface where it is safe to do so.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Mini sessions are scheduled for Saturday, with Sunday as the backup date.
If the weather is unsafe (heavy rain, storms, dangerous surf, flooding), sessions will automatically move to Sunday.
If you can’t make the backup date, your session fee will be refunded (minus the non-refundable retainer).
If conditions are safe but not perfect (cloudy skies, wind, tides), the session will still go ahead — these often make for the most beautiful and natural photos.

WHO CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE MINI SESSIONS?
These are strictly for immediate family only (parents/caregivers + kids). 

DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?
No, but I highly recommend it! My online store connects to a professional lab whose quality is unmatched (and who I personally use). You’ll also receive high-resolution files so you can print elsewhere if you prefer.

WILL OUR PHOTOS BE POSTED ONLINE?
Never without your permission. I always ask first, and your privacy is respected if you’d prefer to keep your photos private.

WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP IMAGES TO HIDE SPOTS, WRINKLES, ETC.?
I keep edits true to life because imperfections make us unique.
✔ I’ll remove things that aren’t normally there (like pimples, grazes, or sores).
✘ I won’t erase smile lines, freckles, or birthmarks — those are too beautiful to hide!
Special retouching can be requested at an additional cost.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
Your edited gallery will be ready within 14 days from your session. You’ll receive a private online gallery that stays live for 2 weeks.

DO WE GET TO PICK THE EDITED PHOTOS?
No — I carefully select and edit the best images for you. Trust that I’ll deliver the strongest and most beautiful story of your session. Extra retouching requests may be charged separately.

WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO OUR IMAGES?
All images remain the copyright of Alex Warden.
You’ll get a personal print release for your purchased images — so you can print and share with family. Images can’t be used commercially, altered, or screenshotted from proofs.

WHAT IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO OUR SESSION?
If I’m unable to attend due to illness, injury, or unforeseen circumstances, I’ll refund all fees paid (minus services already delivered).

CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CANCEL?
No. The $300 retainer is always non-refundable, even if you or your family are unwell. This is because travel sessions involve upfront planning, travel costs, and preparation that can’t be recovered if the session doesn’t go ahead.
If you’re unable to attend due to illness, we can look at rescheduling where possible, but the retainer itself will not be refunded.

HOW SAFE ARE THE LOCATIONS MINI SESSIONS ARE HELD?
I always scout and choose the safest locations possible for families. That said, mini sessions often take place around beaches, rocks, water, and natural areas, which can involve some risks such as:
Slips, trips, or falls
Waves, currents, and tides
Wildlife or insects
By booking, you acknowledge responsibility for your own safety and your children’s safety, but please know I’ll always do my best to select spots that feel fun, beautiful and safe.
